They have apartment communities in approximately 46 states including Puerto Rico and own and operate over 1,162 communities consisting of 202,337 units serving approximate 750,000 residents yearly.

FRH served in a consulting role with AIMCO Properties during a 2-year project and involving the renovation of 670 affordable housing units located in Hunters Point area of San Francisco. We mediated complex issues, concerns and needs successfully on behalf of the AIMCO’s Citizens’ Advisory Committee, residents and the client; hosted meetings to assess the needs of residents regarding relocation, housing design and construction.

We assisted AIMCO’s construction team in negotiating with local unions surrounding resident hiring and resolving construction issues including walk-outs, shut-downs, etc.  This included working with the construction team and unions to make sure local hiring requirements were implemented.  We were part of a consulting team that resolved residents’ and workers’ complaints regarding construction and relocation issues.

In addition, FRH provided Outreach, Orientation, Barrier Removal and Job Readiness & Life Skills Training and Job Retention Support to select AIMCO residents. Inspired by the training course, the students collaborated after the course’s end to start an organization designed to provide a safe haven for wayward girls living in the AIMCO residences.
